A formal look and a sporty style in a single car

The United Arab Emirates have the honour to be the place where the new Ferrari Sergio will be shown for the first time. The SBH Royal Auto Gallery is now its new owner and it is located in the United Arab Emirates at Yas Marina Circuit in Abu Dhabi, where the world’s largest indoor theme park is placed. The designer of this car is Pininfarina, and it is going to be a limited edition vehicle with only six examples. The Ferrari Sergio is going to be shown on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the partnership between the historic Cambiano company and the Prancing Horse. The name Sergio was chosen because of Sergio Pininfarina, the man who is responsible for the partnership with Ferrari that exists for a really long time.

This car is exclusive and all of the integrated elements in it are totally focused on the performance of the car. Once a man sits behind the steering wheel, the fun can start.

There is no doubt that the dynamics of the car is excellent. It relies in the 458 Spider and has all the technology and functional of it. Another important fact is that it has the newest 605 hp model of a naturally aspirated 4497 cc V8 engine, that is, the winner of the award for the International Engine of the Year. This also means that the car can dash from 0 to 100 km/h in 3 seconds.

The new Ferrari Sergio’s style is pure and ordinary. It looks like the Pininfarina’s 1960s or 70s designs for Ferrari and its proportions are perfect, which is confirmed with the style of the front part of the car that looks like it is penetrating the rear part. This creates the feeling like it is a remarkable roadster. The vital styling cue of the Ferrari Sergio’s design is the longitudinal black insert in which the masses of its external shells are mixed together. The front and the rear part of the car make a completely compatible but also a powerful machine.

The car looks even more formal with the new elements Pininfarina has combined at the front of the car, such as the headlights, and with this move, they are changed into a single transparent transverse element adding more to the formal look of the car. At the rear, Pininfarina has integrated circular tail lights that can also be spotted in the other older Ferraris, which means this one has a lot in common with the legendary past creations of the skillful hands of Ferraris’ designers. 

Like most of the Ferraris look, the the Sergio also combines the usefulness and the beauty. Under the bonnet lies the front spoiler that is responsible for the equal downforce and regulates the heat exchange.

The Ferrari Sergio that will be shown in Abu Dhabi has three-layer paintwork on the exterior which is in red, and a sporty cockpit wrapped in black leather with red stitches, just to make a contrast, a door well-trim and a wide carbon dash. The colour of its forged wheels is gold, and they have a diamond finish.

As we already mentioned, there are only six examples of this car, and each one of them is arranged by its owner on a special event in Tailor Made atelier in Maranello, where the Ferrari’s clients go to change their cars to their own tastes. There are plenty of choices to make, about the materials, the colours of the cars etc. This will result in creating unique models and will preserve the tradition of Prancing Horse of providing the clients with a freedom of choice while buying the car of their dreams.
