First explosive charge of the new E-class Mercedes-AMG E 43 4matic

Mercedes has already announced the first sports performance. The AMG E 43 with 401 hp (295 kW) and peak torque to 384 lb-ft (520 Nm) and will temporarily represent the top in the series – to the arrival of AMG E 63.Managers of the Stuttgart brand still enumerate in front of the audience the innovations that came with the new generation of E-Class but Mercedes already represented the next novelty – the first sports performance series, Mercedes-AMG E 43 4Matic.

The power of 401 horsepower comes from a 3 liter V6 twin-turbo charger, which through 9G-TRONIC automatic transmission and 4 wheel drives is transmitted to both axles in a ratio of 31:69 percent. For a complete sporty feel the package is equipped  with the Air Body Control suspension, which allow more direct steering and transmission in a shorter time to change gears on 9G-Tronic.

The extra 34 hp compared with the version of the engine that was built in C 43 is obtained through larger turbochargers boosting charge-air pressure to 1.1 bar and improved software controls. The maximum torque to 384 lb-ft (520 Nm), starting at only 2,500 rpm. Thus, the E 43 sprints to 100km/h in just 4.6 seconds, while top speed is limited to 250 km / h.

Sports seal to the exterior is reflected in the three air intakes in the front bumper with two horizontal louvers in the side vents, chrome pins in the “diamond mask” and louver in gloss black. 19 inch AMG wheels.

The driver can chose between five driving programs the system Dynamic Select, which affect reaction of the engine to the transmission, the chassis and steering. The E 43 4Matic management has a variable transmission ratio and the driver can choose two modes of his work – comfort or sport – depending on the currently selected program by Dynamic Select.

Mercedes starts with orders for E 43 4Matic in mid-June; the first models will begin to ship in September.
